The lounge, a transit area and hub within the exhibition route, introduces to the renovated “Gesti e Processi” gallery, which opened to the public on Friday 11 October, and is designed as a resting area for visitors. The small tables and the bookshelves from Saba Italia’s Leyva collection, with their linear and essential “grid” structure, decorate the Lounge, while the Metis sofas, extremely flexible thanks to the rotation of the basic elements that allow multiple configurations, welcome the public.
Alongside these, the two elegant benches with simple, essential and comfortable lines, Pan Flute by Saba Italia, inspired by the benches found in waiting rooms or along train station platforms, are the stars of the space.
The room is illuminated by Davide Groppi’s creations Sampei, Moon and Origine, placed in perfect dialogue with the space and furnishings to create a cozy, sophisticated, magical and elegant atmosphere.
Based on the belief that art and design are two closely connected worlds that share a common language of creativity, form and function, Dexelance launched the Dexelance for Arts project in July 2023 with the purchase of Arnaldo Pomodoro’s Rotante Massimo III, an iconic 1968 work that evokes the dynamism and power of metal. The sphere, with a diameter of 80 cm, is on display in the Meridiani flagship store in Milan, designed by Andrea Parisio, after being temporarily exhibited in the brand’s New York showroom. This work of art has thus become a symbol of the dialogue between art and exhibition space.
The project continued with the purchase of the 1959 sculpture “Concetto Spaziale, Natura ” by Lucio Fontana, one of the major exponents of Spatialism. The work, on display in the Davide Groppi showroom on Via Manzoni, which was inaugurated during the Salone del Mobile 2024, fits perfectly into the space, dialoguing with the minimalist design of Davide Groppi’s creations, shaping an environment that evokes balance and imagination with magical and evocative atmospheres.
